Restricted Breeds in Ireland

Under the Control of Dogs Regulations 1998, ten restricted breeds (and their strains/crosses) must, in a public place, be muzzled and kept on a strong lead no longer than 2 metres by a person over 16 who is capable of controlling the dog.
